On the 29th, 30th of April and the 1st May we were invited back by the East Midlands Steam and Country Show to run the car parking,
On the Thursday night members of out team arrived on site to set up the site where our team were camping, setting up our caravan and tents to make the area we were camping at more friendly.
On Friday evening the rest of the team that were camping over the bank holiday weekend arrived and set up camp
On Saturday we were up bright and early to set up the layout for the car park, going through the plan for the day and we were ready to park cars before the first car arrived at 9am. We made sure that the boggy areas of the car park were identified and cordoned off so that cars were not likely to be stuck. We were handling the parking of cars well, ensuring they were parked properly as per our plans, and the car park quickly started to fill up. Later on near lunch time we had the pre-lunch rush and we handled the parking of cars with skill and professionalism and all cars were parked properly and despite the rain we were all still happy and smiley.
At 3pm, we left the car park and took on our safety stewarding roles, walking around the event and making sure that everything inside the event was running smoothly and that there were no safety issues.
We did the same on the sunday and monday as well. All of the car parking equipment, including the signs and cones were supplied by ourselves
